My name is Tammy Plofsky, and I am the special education co-teacher in Mrs. Dempster’s class. I have enjoyed teaching both special education and elementary education for more than three decades! I feel one of my greatest strengths as a teacher is creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, and our differences are celebrated.
My husband and I moved down from Chicago to the Atlanta area five years ago, but we did not come alone. We also brought our three sons (who tower over me ), my parents, two 18-year-old dogs, and our cat. One of my sons just got married in June and another just got engaged. My youngest is finishing school this year.
We are a super active family, always looking for fun things to do in Atlanta and surrounding areas. We love to ride on electric scooters up and down the Beltline, hike, go boating on Lake Lanier, and try a wide variety of restaurants. My husband and I are also avid gardeners. However, everything we plant seems to eventually get eaten by the deer from the woods behind my house.
