We take a lot of pride in our process and do our very best to consider every child and discuss where we feel they will be the most successful. Please do not bring any tech phones, watches, etc. They are not allowed in the room during testing and will be taken up. 2. Get a good nights sleep. We begin testing each day right at 8:00 am. 3. You will be able to see the types of questions and content. This will be your child's homework for the next 2 weeks! It is due on Monday, May 2nd. Remember to have your child reading 15 minutes each night! Writing: This week we worked on developing an opinion after reading 2 passages. We know that our opinion essays must 4 paragraphs and include evidence from the text. Reading: We worked on answering different types of questions this week: You pick 2 or 3, Part A and Part B, identifying main idea. Math: Be sure to check out each math page for more details about current units. On-Level: Review of all 3rd grade standards has begun! Each week will revisit each unit of math. Advanced: Unit 4 Assessment is on Tuesday! Then we will begin 3rd grade review. Acc Math: Unit 7 Assessment is on Tuesday! Then we will begin 3rd grade review. Next week we are moving to opinion writing. Reading: We worked on answering different types of questions this week: You pick 2 or 3, Part A and Part B, identifying main idea. Math: Be sure to check out each math page for more details about current units. On-Level: We worked on graphs this week. Our last unit test is on Tuesday and then will begin review. Advanced: We worked on adding fractions with like denominators next week we will multiply fractions and whole numbers. Acc Math: Money and Time were worked on this week. Next week will be area and perimeter and measuring angles. Social Studies: We wrote and filmed our campaign speeches and also learned all about maps and globes. Writing: This week was learning about different constructive response questions. We will begin narrative writing with prompts when we return from Spring Break. Reading: We have begun our Milestones test prep unit. We will be working on test taking strategies and reviewing all reading standards learned this year. Math: Be sure to check out each math page for more details about current units. On-Level: We worked on graphs this week. When we return we will continue working on graphs. Advanced: We had our unit assessment! When we return from break we will begin our last unit of the year: Operations with Fractions. Acc Math: This week we worked on solving word problems with different units of measure. After break we will move to area and perimeter. Social Studies: We will finish up our democracy unit after spring break working on campaign speeches! |
